Goals House is an organization that facilitates connection and collaboration in an effort to achieve 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Made up of internationally renowned activists, thinkers, political figures, business leaders, and entrepreneurs, the organization hosts live events several times a year to create environments where people are able to think differently, create new ideas, and have important conversations.
Since their founding in 2019, Goals House has hosted one of these events during the United Nations General Assembly in New York City each year. This September, the event, which ran for five days, took place at Tavern on the Green in Central Park.
Their event facilitated this in several ways. First, daytime sessions, which ran simultaneously across three different rooms within the restaurant, invited people to attend panel discussions, participate in Q&A sessions, hear from guest speakers, and more. In order to fit the unique needs of each session, the rooms were reconfigured and transformed several times each day.
In the evening, the largest event space, built outside the restaurant using a large tent, truss towers with moving lights, and 17 custom built pedestals to represent each of the organization’s goals, was transformed into a social club. Attendees were able to use the space to relax, enjoy each other’s company, and engage in important conversations to push the organization’s initiatives forward. Entertainment acts in the past have featured Broadway performers, a fashion show, and notable celebrities.
Among this year’s attendees were England’s Prince William, Matt Damon, John Kerry, Forest Whitaker, and many other notable activists, foreign dignitaries, celebrities, and more.
We’re proud to have supported this event for the past three years and to create spaces that can be used to facilitate making the world a safer, healthier, and better place.
