The One Way Event Productions team had the opportunity to participate in an incredibly fun event at Citi Field!
Recently, Citi Field rebranded their events department in an effort to highlight all of the event spaces in the stadium. With each restaurant, room, and corner of the stadium (including the field itself!) comes an area capable of being turned into a unique event or activation space.
For the official launch of their new brand, Willets Point Entertainment, they created an event modeled after the World’s Fair.
With six distinct spaces representing Italy, Greece, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Queens, and an airport style “boarding area”, the theme of the entire event was centered around exploring new locations.

Each of the spaces was sponsored by a different group, and attendees were able to tour each location.
The OWEP team was incredibly excited to sponsor the Queens area in the main entrance, also referred to as the Jackie Robinson Rotunda.
After researching to learn more about the history of the borough, we discovered that many famous jazz musicians were born and began their careers in Queens. We decided to focus on five different musicians from Queens by creating spaces to represent each of their apartments.
With the help of some incredible partners, including Paper and Flowers, who provided florals; AFR Rentals, who furnished each of the five apartments, Photobooth NYC, who designed the spaces and provided graphics; Massive Visuals, who conceptualized the space; and 2XL Imaging, who sponsored all printed materials and wall art, we were able to create unique, distinctive, and inviting spaces for the touring attendees to explore.
Our team used our totem screens to create a “window” display in each apartment, each containing a different view of Queens, lit the apartments with stage wash and artistic uplighting, and installed a sound system for background music.
The event was a huge success, and we look forward to working with Willets Point Entertainment on future events at Citi Field.
