Convention center know-how

We know convention centers inside and out.

Trade shows look simpler than conferences from the outside. They're not. Every convention center has its own rules, unions, deadlines, and freight process, and New York is one of the toughest cities in the country to work in.

We've learned the ins and outs on the Javits floor, sometimes the hard way, so you don't have to. We read the show manual, plan the logistics, and handle the venue so your team walks into a booth that's ready.

  • Marshaling yards & arrival windowsWe plan around your target time, because missing it can mean hours of waiting at the yard.
  • Drayage & the advance warehouseClean manifests, labeled cases, and smart shipping choices that save time and per-pound fees.
  • Union laborMany convention centers are union venues, and some builds involve more than one union. We plan for it and coordinate directly with the crews.
  • Show services & exclusive vendorsPower, internet, and rigging orders placed on time, with the venue's exclusive providers looped in early.
  • Rigging & flown elementsFrom hanging signs to an 800-pound goal post over the Javits floor, we've flown it safely.
  • Install, show days & strikeOur in-house technicians and production managers stay with your booth or stage from first case to last.

Good questions

Trade show & convention AV FAQs

Do you provide AV for trade show booths at the Javits Center?

Yes. The Javits Center is our home convention center. We've built and run booths, mainstages, and activations there for clients like Informa, BizBash, and Fanatics Fest, so we know its rules, schedules, and crews well.

How do you handle union labor at convention centers?

Many convention centers, including the Javits Center, are union venues, and some builds involve more than one union. We plan union labor into the schedule and the quote from day one and coordinate directly with the venue's crews, so there are no surprises on show week.

Can you handle marshaling yards, drayage, and the advance warehouse?

Yes. We plan around your arrival window, prepare clean labels and paperwork, and help you decide whether to ship to the advance warehouse or the dock, which can save time and drayage costs. We walk through it in our guide to building and running a trade show booth.

Do you work with exhibit houses and booth builders?

Absolutely. We regularly work alongside exhibit houses and agencies, supplying the AV, LED, lighting, and technicians that bring a booth build to life, and coordinating with your team on power, rigging, and install timing.

Are your LED walls compatible with beMatrix and Aluvision frames?

Yes. Our LED tiles are compatible with both beMatrix and Aluvision frame systems, so the LED wall sits flush inside your booth structure for a seamless, built-in look instead of a screen bolted onto the front. We handle the install on site, working alongside the union crew where the venue requires it, and run your content for the length of the show.

Do you work at convention centers outside New York?

Yes. When your show goes on the road, we can travel with it or tap our partner network in 15+ markets, so you get the same standards and the same point of contact wherever you exhibit.

How early should exhibitors book AV for a trade show?

As soon as you have your booth space and show manual. Convention centers set deadlines for things like power, internet, rigging, and advance warehouse shipping, and ordering early usually costs less. Reach out even if your show is close; we've delivered on tight timelines before.
