A circular LED portal on beMatrix frames
An LED wall attached to beMatrix frames and masked to read as a circle, so the centerpiece looked like a portal into what onsemi is building next.

Case study · Product showcase
A futuristic expo space for onsemi's newest products, with a circular LED portal on beMatrix frames, LED totems, and monitors throughout the room. Songbear Studios designed it. We brought it to life.
Songbear Studios took care of the design. We took care of the tech. Together we built a room that felt like stepping into the future.

Songbear Studios brought us in to provide the LED for an expo space being built out to showcase onsemi's newest products, at The New York Times Center.
The space had to feel futuristic from the moment guests walked in. The centerpiece was a portal: an LED wall that had to read as a perfect circle, built into a modular frame system, in a room where the design, the build, and the technology all had to come together on one schedule.
We mounted the LED wall onto beMatrix frames and masked it so the screen read as a glowing circular portal. Then we placed our LED totems and 42 inch and 75 inch monitors around the room for additional signage, and handed the team 10 iPads to control the screens, so the futuristic feel carried through every corner. Songbear owned the design, and we made sure the technology delivered it exactly.
The plan
Before anything was built, the room existed in 3D: the circular portal, the main entry, and every totem and station on the floor plan. Drag the slider to compare the portal drawing with the real thing.

The collaboration
A build like this only works when everyone moves together. Four separate teams worked in tandem, each owning their piece and handing off cleanly to the next.

Songbear Studios created the look, the story, and the futuristic feel of the space.
Built the structures that turned the design into a real, walkable space.
That was us: the LED portal, the screens, the LED totems, and making it all run.
The New York Times Center team, keeping the venue side of the build running smoothly.
What we provided

An LED wall attached to beMatrix frames and masked to read as a circle, so the centerpiece looked like a portal into what onsemi is building next.

Our LED totems carried onsemi branding and product content throughout the space, signage that felt like part of the design instead of something added later.

Monitors sized to each product station kept demos and content easy to see, placed and run to serve Songbear's design, not compete with it.

The onsemi team could change content on the screens right from an iPad, so every demo and conversation had exactly the right visuals at exactly the right time.
