Two LED walls in beMatrix frames
72 tiles of 1.5mm LED, sharp enough for attendees standing right at the entrance, mounted directly into the booth frames so the screens looked built in.

Case study · Trade show booth
Two 1.5mm LED walls built into beMatrix frames at the Javits Center, playing synced animations that mirrored, split, and even jumped from one screen to the other.
Two screens, one story. Some hours they mirrored each other, some hours they played their own shows, and sometimes a character ran right off one screen and onto the other.

Basic Fun! asked us to supply the LED for their booth at Toy Fair at the Javits Center: two screens flanking the entrance, playing animations their team created at set times throughout the day.
The two screens had to work three different ways. Sometimes they mirrored the same content, sometimes each played its own, and sometimes the content spanned both, with objects virtually passing from one screen to the next. The sound had to be heard all around the booth without a speaker in sight. And every cable had to run under the carpet, where there was no getting back to it once the floor was laid.
We built 72 tiles of 1.5mm LED into the booth's beMatrix frames and drove both walls from one video processor and one media server, programmed for all three playback modes. We hid speakers behind the SEG prints that wrapped the booth, so visitors heard every animation without seeing where the sound came from. And we ran redundant cables from the LED walls to the back of house room, because there was no coming back once the carpet was down.
The plan
We mapped every tile into the beMatrix frames before load-in, so we knew the LED would fit the booth design exactly before we ever stepped onto the show floor. Drag the slider to compare the plan with the finished booth.

What we provided

72 tiles of 1.5mm LED, sharp enough for attendees standing right at the entrance, mounted directly into the booth frames so the screens looked built in.

A video processor and a media server, programmed so the walls could mirror each other, play separate content, or act as one canvas with animations crossing from screen to screen, all on schedule.

Speakers tucked behind the SEG prints that wrapped the booth, so every animation came with sound and nothing broke the look of the booth.

Redundant cable runs from the LED walls under the carpet to the back of house room. Once the carpet is laid, a bad cable cannot be fixed, so we made sure one never could stop the show.
